Effects of using meth after 3
months in jail?
This is a question for those of you who have abstained from
using meth while being incarcerated. Can you tell me what it is like
to use after 3 months. What happens to them, I.E. Does the high
seem new again? Will he be on a binge? Stay away for a while. I
have a million Q's, but I think you understand what I am
asking....What can I expect after this amount of time.....he
smokes it, so 3 mo without it and not a word of any sort of
recovery came out of his mouth while in jail....Help! I am
searching here....he just went off somewhere, right from
jail....don't even know who picked him up!! He did not call
family or friends of family for a ride....just gone!! |

I asked to pick him up, said he would call!! Yeah, right. It
is now 10 hours later...no call. So I am sure he probably
went straight to someone who would supply him!!! What say
you???? He never mentioned ever wanting things to be
different, but I am always hoping...
I have to ask, Kitty, why are you hoping anything in relation to this guy?
He is an addict behaving like an addict. He has spent three
months in jail giving no indication that he wanted any form of
recovery. Therefore he has shown that he never had any desire to
do anything but go out and score the minute he was released.
So why would you expect it to be otherwise? And why have you
made his drug addiction your concern?
You really think that when he's been waiting for a hit for three
months the first thing he's going to do on release is find a
phone and call you to thank you for caring about him?
For an addict in active addiction, priorities 1-100 are always
going to be how they'll score the next hit.
You can expect not to hear from this fella until he's
broke, burnt and blistered and looking for a warm sweet safe
place where he can crash.
Only then can you expect him to call you and blow so much hot
air up your fanny that you'll want to instantly float off to
pick him up wherever he's stranded himself.
Sweetheart, please do yourself a BIG favor and stop attaching
your happiness to expecting an addict to behave any other way
than just like an addict.
Until he, of his own accord, embraces recovery he will continue
to behave like the addict he is.
Meanwhile don't tie your happiness to any balloon with his name
on it. |

K8 is sooo right! My addict was in jail, due
to meth and got out approx. after 2-3 months, and went right
back to using. He was actually worse than ever, after that.
Where is he now? Back in prison due to felony probation
violations due to meth. It's all, just one sad story |
